On the afternoon of Thursday, October 1, four buses carrying the third graders returned to school. They had been out on a social studies field trip today.
They visited two facilities: the Ajinomoto Tokai Factory, located in the industrial area along the coast, and the Yokkaichi City Tea Industry Promotion Center, located in an inland agricultural area.
The students were divided into two groups and switched destinations partway through the day, allowing everyone to visit both facilities.
