On the afternoon of Tuesday, December 9, the Tomisuahara School District Human Rights Forum was held. Sixth graders from Tomisuahara Elementary School and first-year students from Tomisuahara Junior High School gathered in our school gymnasium to interact and deepen their understanding of human rights. The theme this year was “The imagination to build a bridge to the unseen ‘heart’ — Are you stepping on someone’s toes?”
The forum was facilitated by the junior high school students. For this day, the Special Learning team took the lead in preparing the event.
At the beginning, the following discussion rules were presented:

• Listen while looking at the speaker.

• Do not deny anyone’s opinion; listen until the end.

• Do not share outside this room any personal information discussed here.

Next, the participants were divided into 14 mixed groups of elementary and junior high students to introduce themselves. This was followed by group talk time. In the group discussions, they talked honestly about three situations related to empathy and sympathy.
The forum was scheduled to conclude with a whole-group sharing session.

La tarde del martes 9 de diciembre se celebró el Foro de Derechos Humanos del distrito escolar de Tomisuahara. Los estudiantes de sexto grado de la Escuela Primaria Tomisuahara y los de primer año de la Escuela Secundaria Tomisuahara se reunieron en el gimnasio para interactuar y profundizar en su comprensión de los derechos humanos. El tema de este año fue: «La imaginación para construir un puente hacia el “corazón” invisible — ¿Estás pisando los sentimientos de alguien?»
El foro fue dirigido por los estudiantes de secundaria. Para este día, el equipo de Aprendizaje Especial se encargó de los preparativos.
Al comienzo, se presentaron las siguientes reglas de discusión:

• Escuchar mirando a los ojos del interlocutor.

• No negar la opinión de nadie y escuchar hasta el final.

• No compartir fuera de este lugar la información personal mencionada aquí.

Luego, los participantes se dividieron en 14 grupos mixtos de primaria y secundaria para presentarse. Después continuaron con el tiempo de conversación en grupo. En estas conversaciones, discutieron honestamente tres situaciones relacionadas con la empatía y la simpatía.
Para finalizar, se tenía previsto un intercambio general con todos los participantes.

डिसेम्बर ९ (मंगलबार) को दिउँसो, तोमिसुहारा विद्यालय क्षेत्रमा मानवअधिकार फोरम आयोजना गरिएको छ। तोमिसुहारा प्राथमिक विद्यालयका छैटौँ कक्षाका विद्यार्थीहरू र तोमिसुहारा माध्यमिक विद्यालयका पहिलो वर्षका विद्यार्थीहरू हाम्रो विद्यालयको जिम्नेसियममा भेला भई, आपसमा अन्तरक्रिया गर्दै मानवअधिकारको समझलाई गहिरो बनाउँछन्। यस पटकको विषयवस्तु थियो: “देखिँदैन — त्यो ‘मन’ तर्फ पुल बाँध्ने कल्पनाशक्ति — के तपाईं कसैको भावना ‘माथि पाइला’ टेक्दै हुनुहुन्छ?”
फोरमको सञ्चालन माध्यमिक विद्यालयका विद्यार्थीहरूले गरे। यस दिनका लागि Special Learning समूहले नेतृत्व गर्दै तयारी गरेको थियो।
सुरुमा निम्न चर्चा नियमहरू प्रस्तुत गरियो:

• बोल्ने व्यक्तिको आँखा हेर्दै कुरा सुन्ने।

• कसैको विचार नकार्न नपाइने, अन्त्यसम्म ध्यानपूर्वक सुन्ने।

• यहाँ कुरा गरिएको व्यक्तिगत गोप्य जानकारी बाहिर नबोल्ने।

त्यसपछि, सहभागीहरूलाई प्राथमिक र माध्यमिक विद्यार्थी मिसिएका १४ समूहमा विभाजन गरी आत्म-परिचय गरियो। त्यसपछि समूह छलफलको समय भयो। समूह छलफलमा, सहानुभूति (empathy) र समवेदना (sympathy) सम्बन्धी तीनवटा परिस्थितिबारे खुला मनले कुराकानी गरियो।
अन्त्यमा, सबै सहभागीले साझा सत्रमा भाग लिने कार्यक्रम थियो।

Vào chiều thứ Ba, ngày 9 tháng 12, Diễn đàn Nhân quyền khu vực trường học Tomisuahara đã được tổ chức. Học sinh lớp 6 của Trường Tiểu học Tomisuahara và học sinh năm nhất của Trường Trung học cơ sở Tomisuahara đã tập trung tại nhà thi đấu của trường để giao lưu và nâng cao hiểu biết về quyền con người. Chủ đề lần này là: “Trí tưởng tượng để xây một cây cầu đến ‘tâm hồn’ vô hình — Bạn có đang vô tình giẫm lên cảm xúc của ai không?”
Diễn đàn do học sinh trung học điều hành. Nhóm Special Learning đã đóng vai trò trung tâm trong việc chuẩn bị cho sự kiện này.
Mở đầu, các quy tắc thảo luận sau đây được giới thiệu:

• Lắng nghe người khác khi nhìn vào mắt họ.

• Không phủ định ý kiến của bất kỳ ai và lắng nghe đến cuối cùng.

• Không nói ra bên ngoài những thông tin cá nhân được chia sẻ tại đây.

Tiếp theo, học sinh được chia thành 14 nhóm gồm cả học sinh tiểu học và trung học để tự giới thiệu. Sau đó là thời gian thảo luận nhóm. Trong phần thảo luận, các em trao đổi chân thành về ba tình huống liên quan đến sự thấu cảm (empathy) và đồng cảm (sympathy).
Cuối cùng, dự kiến sẽ có phần chia sẻ chung của toàn thể học sinh.
