On Sunday, November 16, the Tomisuahara District Comprehensive Disaster Drill was held with full community participation, and Tomisuahara Junior High School took part in the drill as part of its Saturday classes. This year, the school recruited junior high school volunteer staff, and these volunteers helped with preparations early in the morning together with other staff members. General students evacuated to high-ground areas along with local residents at their designated evacuation sites and then gathered at Tomisuahara Elementary School, which served as the main disaster drill site. At the training site, they learned through various hands-on disaster-prevention activities. After this, they will return to school, eat emergency “Alpha Rice,” and then conduct a reflection session on the drill.

At 9:20 on Friday, November 14, we arrived at Ai-Ai Hall in Kawagoe Town, the venue for the 65th Sanshi Junior High School Music Festival. It took exactly 30 minutes to walk from the school. Inside the venue, some schools were doing vocal warm-ups, which was quite overwhelming, but our students had already completed their warm-ups at school. Photography inside the hall is prohibited, so we cannot post any photos of the program from this point onward.

We would like to introduce the “2025 9th Sanshi District High School Exhibition,” which was held on Saturday, November 8, at Mihama Culture Hall (Culture Mihama) in Yokkaichi City.
In the morning, a “Guidance Session on Further Education for Foreign Students and Their Parents,” organized by the Yokkaichi City Board of Education, was held in the multipurpose hall, and many students participated.
The Private High School Exhibition ran from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and the Prefectural High School Exhibition ran from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. At each school’s booth, visitors could learn about the unique features of each school and the learning environment after enrollment. School uniforms were also on display. It was a wonderful opportunity to gather information about many high schools.
There was also a room where correspondence-course (part-time and distance learning) private high schools were gathered. When I visited, visitors could have one-on-one conversations with school staff members.
The exhibition was open to 6th-grade elementary school students, junior high school students, parents, and school staff. It is not only for 3rd-year junior high school students—1st- and 2nd-year students are also encouraged to attend. Parents are welcome to visit on their own as well.

नोभेम्बर ८ (शनिबार) मा तोमिसुहारा प्राथमिक विद्यालयमा आयोजित तोमिसुहारा क्षेत्रीय सांस्कृतिक उत्सवमा हाम्रो विद्यालयका विद्यार्थीहरूले प्रस्तुत गरेका कृतिहरूको परिचय गराउन चाहन्छौं।
